Ferny Glen Stud is a a leading agistment and spelling farm situated in the heart of thoroughbred country in South East Queensland. Just a 30 minute drive west of the Gold Coast, the stud is situated a stones throw from the popular old township of Canungra.

We specialize in racehorse Agistment, Pre-Training and Breaking and provide onsite accommodation for Owners, Breakers and Transport Drivers.

The farm is conveniently located close to the Gold Coast, Beaudesert, Ipswich and Brisbane Race Tracks and has a perfect climate making it a perfect location to grow young horses and rest and recooperate those who may need a spell from the tough rigurs of racing.

Ferny Glen Thoroughbreds also has a strong breeding program and has recently nurtured some magnificent racehorses including early Magic Millions favourite Racing Pegasus, veteran Rightson and rising stars such as Geneva Gold, Acting Up, Star Stepper, Winwin Situation, Vanuatu Princess and Wild Causeway

Ferny Glen Thoroughbreds offers Thoroughbred Racehorse Spelling. With brand new rubber fencing providing the utmost safety and care in mind, you can rest assured your horse is looked after by the best available technology.

We cater for all horse age groups from Weanlings through to experienced Racehorses. We have a good range of rotatable single paddocks of varying sizes and all are double fenced with rubber on the bottom. We also have capabilites to hold up to 3 colts in single paddocks where necessary.

Every paddock on the property has newly constructed shelters to provide shade from both the rain and the sun. All visiting horses are supplied with coats and hoods as required.

Horses are fed twice daily and our on-site manager is always available 24/7 to ensure the health and safety of your pride and joy.

Ferny Glen Stud offers long term spelling for Thoroughbred and Non-Thoroughbred horses.

Share paddocks are available for all long term horses with regular rotations and 2 feeds are supplied daily ( morning and night ).

Our 4 Share Paddocks are surrounded by trickling streams and all share paddocks are over 12 acres in size with paddocks completely covered by lush green grass.

To provide a complete full racing preparation service, we also offer daily pre-training for racehorses.

We have a newly updated stable facility and horses in pre-training get to spend time in our day yards in between being exercised ( fast and slow walk ) on our large 6 Horse Walker.

Our pre-training services and facilities allow us to give every horse a good base level of fitness before returning back into full work, saving both valuable time and money.

The horses are worked in a relaxed country environment in perfect weather surrounded by rolling hills and a magnificent bubbling river.
